Today began in Colorado Spring on a bright, blue day. We had another chance to see this beautiful chapel in the daytime, and could actually see the mountains surrounding this unique city as we drove out of town.

The Sabbath has been a welcome respite after being on the run all of the last week. The choir was divided between several LDS wards, attending church meetings with their host families. Some lucky Singers were able to sleep in a little longer before church at 11, but I’m sure the ones who went at

Our day began with a rewarding session at CSU with the Chamber Singers, Dr. James Kim (their director) and Dr. Todd Queen (see previous post). Students of both choirs quickly found many commonalities in how they approach music, and how their conductors approach conducting, teaching, and life. We had a very interesting discussion about the

Our day began early, with everyone deposited by twos and threes at Rocky Mountain HS by 7:30 a.m. It takes dedicated students who love to sing to show up ready to make music at that hour, but this school has an amazing program filled with just those kinds of students. They apparently have a Friday

Day Three of our tour, and it dawned absolutely gorgeous. Such a deep blue sky! We spent several hours at the Denver LDS temple (in Centennial, actually) either in the temple or enjoying the beautiful grounds and warming weather. I’ll let the photos tell the story.
